KELLY JIN


Currently a Senior at Northwestern University (IL), Kelly is a double-degree undergrad studying Economics and Music. Upon graduating from Rutgers Preparatory School in 2015, she studied with Dr. Lam and achieved several awards while at her studio. From 2013 to 2014, she was the state champion for NJMTA and the winner of MTNA, one of the most prestigious national competition in the United States. In November 2013, as the 1st prize solo for Sixteenth Annual Cecilian Young Artist Competition, she also performed at Lincoln Center in NYC. Starting at six, Kelly enjoyed both listening and performing classical music. In 2008, she was admitted to the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, one of the best music schools in China. That same year, she was awarded the First Prize at the 3rd Southeast International Piano Competition in Jakarta. In 2009, she was invited to perform for the 12th Ettlingen Piano Competition in Germany as one of the representatives for China. Kelly is currently abroad in Vienna, studying piano, collaborative music, music history, and Economics in Austria.

After graduating from Northwestern University, Kelly will start her fulltime job in Hong Kong as a corporate analyst at Goldman Sachs. Though away from professional training, she will continue to pursue music as an important avocation of her life.
