ERIC WANG

Eric is a rising senior at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a concentration in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Music. He currently studies piano under the tutelage of Yu Xi Wang, a faculty member at the Curtis Institute of Music. Eric is also a member the Penn Men’s Division I Varsity Swimming & Diving team, where he will compete for his fourth and final year this fall.

Eric first touched the piano keys when he was four years old and has been playing ever since. During his five years of studying with Dr. Lam, his awards include first place at the NJMTA Young Musicians Competition, winning the Cecilian Club Competition in consecutive years, first place winner at the NJMEA Annual Piano Competition in consecutive years, performing at the Crescent Concert Showcase for Exceptionally Talented Young Artists, and playing in a master class with renowned pianist Ann Schein. Eric is very thankful to Dr. Lam for taking his playing to a higher level and for the wisdom she has imparted onto him.
