Robert Sherman remarked "Irene was actually a double winner, taking first prize overall
in her age category, and receiving a special citation "as the best performer in the new Chinese work.".
Robert Sherman further commended her performance of the classical piece
as "the sensitive and thoughtfully shaped account of Petrarch Sonnet 104 by Franz Liszt."
